SUPPORTING THE AMPLIFICATION OF WOMEN’S VOICES IN WATER AND RIVER GOVERNANCE

Our Objective

We aim to co-create a platform – online and offline – for women to be able to share their stories and knowledge related to water and river governance. The platform will support collaborative learning to build credibility for women’s knowledge and perspectives through storytelling. Our work is built upon a common understanding of co-creation, which is, for us, a distributive leadership approach where we work with our heads, hearts, and hands to build equity.

A platform for amplification

A platform to amplify women’s voices and knowledge for inclusive water governance.

A platform for movement

A platform to support a transboundary understanding of issues, rules, decisions, and their impacts within a catchment.

A platform for learning

A platform to share knowledge and build skills to engage with making and implementing rules for inclusive and ecologically just river and water management and governance.

A platform for connecting

A safe space to connect and share where women are physically and emotionally secure and able to express their voices and share their stories, experiences, and perspectives.
